Image: MNPAiR artist James (JG) Everest composed and designed a series of site-specific sound and performance installations for various sites and trails around Wild River State Park. These “Sound Gardens” are outdoor spatial symphonies, often accompanied live by roving musicians, poets, dancers, and storytellers. His goal: to create dynamic, activating environments in which visitors feel grounded and connected. Pictured: Park Naturalist Sean Hoppes leads an interpretive prairie talk as part of a "research rehearsal" with dancers Leslie O'Neill and Eva Mohn on July 3, 2025, in preparation for the "Amador Prairie Sound Garden" performance, part of the Festival of Belonging that James organized as the culmination of his residency.
