BOARD + TEAM
We are incredibly proud of our Forecast team. In 2022 our Board of Directors deepened their commitment to racial equity and social justice and our staff delivered on this commitment with new programming and changes in practices and approaches. As our national work grew over the year, our staff and board expanded as well, adding new national leaders and practitioners with deep connections and proven impact outside of our Midwest region. We stayed true to our commitment to keep our team working remotely and supported them compassionately to be fully present in their community and in their personal lives.

(6) Recently, Forecast developed a five-year Arts and Culture Action Plan for the City of Red Wing, Minnesota in collaboration with the City's Arts and Culture Commission and the Prairie Island Indian Community. Among other phases on this project, artist and curator Lindsey Cherek Waller held a pop-up featuring a live painting session inspired by conversations with community members, who were each given flowers. This page: (top) In the Saint Paul skyway bridge over Cedar Street, MONARCHES depicts five monarch butterflies in motion. Artist Rock "Cyfi" Martinez aims to draw attention to the critical role monarch butterflies play in our food webs and living ecosystems, and inspire community to join in efforts for monarch conservation. Forecast is proud to connect artists and designers with an initiative to energize and activate downtown in Minnesota's capital city. A pilot of the Downtown Alliance ALL IN SAINT PAUL connects local artists with business owners to spark collaboration and creativity by reimagining underused spaces in the city's downtown.
